Summer Days
The kids are having a fun time in the summer sun. Â After a yummy breakfast, we took the kids to a nearby park with a fantastic playground. Â Penny quickly made friends while Teddy explored and hit the slides. Â Later in the day, after getting a new helmet and a quick lunch trip, Penny hit the road in her new scooter Lisa gave her for her birthday. Â We also played with water balloons out in the front yard in the late afternoon. Â SUMMER FUN!
Penny’s birthday breakfast
To start off the birthday festivities we headed to IHOP this morning. Â Penny was especially delighted with her chocolate chip pancake! Â Happy 5th birthday my sweet girl!!
Summer nights!
There is nothing more reminiscent of carefree childhood days then beautiful summer evenings spent with family chasing fireflies and seeing the wonder and delight on everyone’s face through the light of sparklers!!! So happy!!!!
Made it to Atlanta
After a LONG flight, we made it to Atlanta bright and early. The kids were happy to see Grandpa and can’t wait to see Grandma. Penny’s first request was to go out for breakfast, o we went to Cracker Barrel, always good! After nap time, we headed to the pool, it’s in the 80s and muggy and then played outside. Can’t wait for the next 3 weeks of fun!!!
Beach fun!
This morning we went to the beach for a breakfast picnic with our friend Sarah and her family. Â The kids had a wonderful time playing together in the sand and water, flying kites, Steve took Penny bodyboarding for the first time, and the adults had fun watching the kids. Â Teddy’s favorite part was the cinnabuns, and he kept circling around eating everyones. Â Can’t wait to go back!!
