On Thursday, after breakfast, we headed to Boston to spend the afternoon with our good friend Helen. The highlights of the trip were riding the T and going on a Duck Boat tour. I think Penny’s favorite part of the day was either lowing her duck whistle or getting to captain the duck boat in the water. Teddy slept through most of the city tour but woke up as soon as we went into the river. He really enjoyed being on the boat and looking around. Penny and Teddy had a wonderful time and it is always great seeing old friends!
This morning we headed down along with the Resigs to the Memorial Day Parade. Penny was really excited to see her first parade, especially since Pa Tom was marching in it.
Sunday was a beautiful day. We walked to church in the morning then headed to the park after to meet up with Cara and William. After lunch, Penny helped Grams and Pa Tom do some yard work, and after all her hard work, she was rewarded with a special treat, the ice cream truck. Only Penny would find an ice cream that looked just like her! She then headed into the pool and was the first to go in this season (though she didn’t venture off the steps, it was COLD!). Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob made it safely to West Hartford, we are looking forward to a wonderful visit with them!
