Of our amazing daughter who learned how to ride a bike today without training wheels. After a tiny bit of help, she was off on her own, riding a bike like she had done it forever. What made it even sweeter was that she able to learn on Westland Ave, where Aunt Karin and I learned as kids (along with many of our friends). I can’t believe how fast she is growing up!!
We arrived to West Hartford yesterday, safe and sound. After a wonderful afternoon and evening yesterday, we woke up ready and refreshed to face the day. And what better way to start the day to fresh bagels and donuts, thanks Grams and Pa Tom!!
We then headed out to do some shopping and then went to Wolcott Park so the kids could play (us too!)
Penny got a quick swim in after lunch (in her new bathing suit, again thanks Grams and Pa Tom!)
Then Grams and Penny made some beautiful barrettes like the ones Mommy wore when she was a little girl. Penny was excited to wear her new halloween outfit that Grams and Pa Tom got her! The barrettes are Penny’s school colors!
To celebrate the end of the trimester (Penny did great of course!), Sara and I took Penny and Jona to a new kid zone that just opened. They had a wonderful time playing, especially in the ball pit. Then we went out to dinner, McDonald’s of course!! I’m so proud of how well Penny is doing!!
Last night after swim lessons, Ben came over to play. Penny was super excited to have him over, as they go to different schools now and don’t get to hang out as much. They did spin art, had waffles and got to watch a move. Soon, you will be seeing a post about a sleepover, they are both eager to have one!!
I have loved watching the kids grow and their relationship evolve. Penny has really blossomed and is a wonderful big sister. The other night, she made a fort for them to play in then when it was time for bed, she brushed his teeth. I hope they can always remain this close!
