Great Grandma

Penny and Teddy are so lucky to have 2 great grandma’s.  In July, we were able to visit with Granny in Atlanta, and now that we are in Connecticut we are able to visit with Great Grandma Buczek.  She is amazing!  At 96, still living alone!!

She lives on some beautiful wooded land that is always full of things to see.  What do they see?

Another fun find, a wooly caterpillar.  Grams taught Penny how to read the wooly’s stripes to predict the upcoming winter, something that Grams’ dad taught her as a little girl.

Grams said, looks like it will be strong weather at the beginning and end of winter, with a mild middle.  We will see!!

Fun with Grams

Nothing tastes better than freshly picked tomatoes from Grams’ garden!!  Well, maybe homemade sugar cookies that Grams and the kids made!!,

Fun with the Resig boys!

The Resig’s came up to spend the weekend with us last weekend.  For those of you who don’t know, Cara is my next door neighbor from growing up who married Joel, the best man from our wedding.  They have 2 boys who are close in age to our kids.  Whenever we are together we always have a great time.  It was so much fun watching Penny and William play, ride bikes, swim and hang out together.  Just like we did when we were younger!!  I hope that our kids will have great memories of each other just like us!!

Ridiculously Proud

Of our amazing daughter who learned how to ride a bike today without training wheels. After a tiny bit of help, she was off on her own, riding a bike like she had done it forever. What made it even sweeter was that she able to learn on Westland Ave, where Aunt Karin and I learned as kids (along with many of our friends). I can’t believe how fast she is growing up!!

West Hartford fun

We arrived to West Hartford yesterday, safe and sound. After a wonderful afternoon and evening yesterday, we woke up ready and refreshed to face the day. And what better way to start the day to fresh bagels and donuts, thanks Grams and Pa Tom!!

We then headed out to do some shopping and then went to Wolcott Park so the kids could play (us too!)

Penny got a quick swim in after lunch (in her new bathing suit, again thanks Grams and Pa Tom!)

Then Grams and Penny made some beautiful barrettes like the ones Mommy wore when she was a little girl. Penny was excited to wear her new halloween outfit that Grams and Pa Tom got her! The barrettes are Penny’s school colors!
