Was a big success! Penny had a great time climbing around all the trucks, and Teddy really seemed to enjoy the fire truck.
Today the kids and I walked down to the center to go to celebrate West Hartford, which is our town fair. There were tons of booths with art, jewelry, toys, food and more. Penny made a tie dye shirt even! There were also some rides- I wasn’t able to take Penny on them today, but we are hoping to return tomorrow. Penny was so exhausted she asked to ride in the stroller. Luckily I was prepared and had brought the ergo for Teddy. Penny even fell sleep on the way home!
Well, we have decided to extend our trip in the states until July 24, and one of the main reasons is to hang out at Grams and Pa Tom’s and enjoy the summer and the pool. We have already been busy using the pool, Penny is in heaven. Teddy went in for the first time and hung out on the steps. Once it gets a little warmer, he will be spending his afternoons with Penny in the pool.
On Thursday, after breakfast, we headed to Boston to spend the afternoon with our good friend Helen. The highlights of the trip were riding the T and going on a Duck Boat tour. I think Penny’s favorite part of the day was either lowing her duck whistle or getting to captain the duck boat in the water. Teddy slept through most of the city tour but woke up as soon as we went into the river. He really enjoyed being on the boat and looking around. Penny and Teddy had a wonderful time and it is always great seeing old friends!
We have been having a wonderful visit with Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob. so nice, that we are planning on trying to go up to Maine for a few days at the beginning of July. Yes, I said July, we are planning on extending our visit so we can enjoy the summer. Yay!! On Saturday, we went to the carousel, park and then took Penny out for a special lunch at Rainforest Cafe. We all had a wonderful time!
