We were so excited that Cara, William and Rory were able to come for the weekend. On Saturday, we hexed to Westmore Park to see the animals and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was farm day. There were baby animals, games, booths and hayrides. Penny and William had a wonderful time running around together, while Rory and Teddy were content to just relax. It was a great day!
On Thursday and Friday, Steve, Lisa and Teddy headed to Santiago to go to the embassy to register Teddy and apply for his passport. Penny stayed home with Senora Carmen and her granddaughter and while we were gone. It was Teddy’s first time on an airplane (he did GREAT) and all his paperwork is turned in. Hopefully we will be seeing everyone stateside in April!!
We spent the weekend camping in Cochiguaz, a small town in the Andes. We had a terrific time and can’t wait to go back. Penny loved camping, she says her favorite parts were sleeping in the tent in her new sleeping bag and swimming in the river. Teddy was a happy little camper and enjoyed being outdoors. One of my favorite things was watching Penny jump off the bridge into the river. The first time she did it she got a huge applause from everyone at the beach, she was awesome! A big thank you to Peter, Berna, Josh and Amy for inviting us along!!!
One of our first days in Atlanta, Terry, Steve, Penny and I headed downtown to the Imagine It Museum. Â It is geared towards toddlers and it was amazing. Â Penny had so much fun learning about recycling, saving energy and playing. Â She apparently inherited Steve’s ability to act and was part of a show. Â Afterwards, we decided to go to the CNN building for lunch. Â On our way through the park, we encountered the fountains (see previous post). Â Luckily I had brought a spare set of clothes so Penny was able to play in the water. Â She had so much fun, we couldn’t wait to go back, which we did with Mary Jane when we went to the aquarium.
