Over Labor Day weekend, while we were in Georgia, we were lucky enough to go to Callaway Gardens which had it’s annual hot air balloon festival (thank you again, Mary Jane and Terry!) Â We had an amazing time- we got to ride in a hot air balloon, we saw thousands of butterflies, beautiful flora and fauna, and got to all be together. Â It was a magical experience that we all enjoyed especially seeing it through Penelope’s eyes. Â She is still talking about the “hot air balloon that goes up and down, wheeee” daily. Â Hope you enjoy the pics!
While we were home visiting my parents we were lucky enough to get to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Â To celebrate we went to Great Grandma’s for the afternoon, where she broke into her secret champagne stash that she thought was at least 50 years old. Â Unfortunately the champagne had gone bad but we had a great time together. Â We then headed to the Hopkins Inn for a nice dinner. Â The only bad part of the day was that it was pouring rain but we had a great time all together and since we don’t get much rain here in Chile it was a nice change.
Nothing says good times like combining the Foley’s, Margheim’s, Resig’s and Grady’s with margaritas!
Thanks Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob for the cool bike, with Grams’ help I can use it, I bet next year I’ll be able to use it all by myself! Â LOVE YOU!
After the Science Museum we headed over to Westmore Park where Penny could see some animals and run around. Â It was a beautiful afternoon and we all had a great time!
