Pirate party
Teddy had a pirate themed birthday party on Friday evening with around 40 of our friends. Everyone was having so much fun in fact, that we didn’t take many pictures. We decorated the house with red, black and white balloons, had a bunch of pirate hats for people to wear (Teddy was NOT a fan), had a pirate ship cake and pirate cupcakes. After Teddy went to bed, the adults continued celebrating in his absence. When we cleaned up the next morning, all I could think was, signs of a good first birthday party are 7 empty bottles of pisco, 5 empty wine bottles and over a case of beer gone (and that’s only what was left out, who knows what else was thrown out!!). Though Teddy had a little cold, he loved having all his little and big friends over. What a lucky boy to have so many wonderful people come and celebrate his birthday with him, we are truly blessed!! Thank you to everyone that made Teddy’s first birthday so perfect!!

Continuing the birthday picture tradition, here is Teddy on his first birthday with his newborn picture. Next year he will be holding this picture and so on…
October 3
Happy 1st birthday Teddy! Teddy had a wonderful birthday on Wednesday. After dropping Penny off at school, Teddy, Grandpa and I went to the beach for a run. After Teddy’s nap, we headed into town for a birthday lunch (without Grandma since she was sick). We went to one of our favorite restaurants and Teddy had costillar (ribs) for the first time, he loved it!!!!!! We then came home for presents and cake. Teddy had a wonderful day with his family, and was excited to have a second party on Friday with all of our friends!!
